How I tried to modernise car dealers with a VIP chauffeur service. The business wanted to be a part of a growing trend among luxury car brands and their dealers: providing customers with assorted VIP transportation. Dropping off loaner cars, taking vehicles in for servicing and bringing test-drive vehicles to shoppers, so they didn’t need to go to the dealership.

Invited by OneCall to partner with them in order to rescue their stranded roadside members where doubters said it wasn’t possible to gain a contract with such a company.

Asked by the UK’s largest auction group to rescue 100’s of vehicles every month. Transformed the opportunity into bringing in additional revenue to myself by gaining exclusive access to auctioned cars. Used exclusive access to out-bid competition on auctioned vehicles. Enabling me to re-market 7-10 cars a week.

How I imported white label diagnostic equipment from China, re-branded it in order to re-sell on ebay and direct to garages and DIY enthusiasts. Later designed online training courses to improve sales. Eventually invited by UK garage owners to train staff and install software. Taught over 1000 people. 400+ garages.

I saw a growing trend of automotive parts being manufactured in China and many companies in the United States were importing them. I wanted to take a piece of this action for myself and bring the Chinese parts to the United Kingdom instead.

How I built a little company in the breakdown recovery industry, after purchasing one truck on a whim. Eventually landed a contract with major chauffeur company in Birmingham. And then ultimately carried out sub-contract work for companies operating under RAC, AA and the GreenFlag. Charging 3x normal prices in busy periods just because I could. The demand was there.
